Travel Oxygen Part 1: New Rules
Create Challenges for Home Respiratory Therapists
On May 13, 2009, airlines must
begin allowing passengers to use approved portable
oxygen concentrators on board all flights. That’s
great news, but you can’t give just any patient a
POC and wish him or her bon voyage. Many clinical
questions must first be answered. This session
will address those questions.
Presenter:
Bob McCoy, BS, RRT,
FAARC, Home Care Chair, American
Association for Respiratory
Care (AARC)
Round Table Discussion: Wrapping
up the Home Respiratory Forum
Leaders in home respiratory
therapy help wrap up three days of lectures and
discussion. What are they taking away from the
forum? What struck them most strongly? How do they
see the market evolving? Attendees are encouraged
to ask questions and share their own thoughts and
opinions.
Panelists:
Tim Buckley, RRT,
FAARC, Director, Respiratory Services,
Walgreens–Option Care Home Care;
Patrick Dunne, MEd, RRT, FAARC,
